Kentucky Fire Commission The Governors Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education (hereafter referred to as the Fire Commission) originated in 1970 with the passage of House Bill 64. It was funded in 1982 with the passage of House Bill 525, which became KRS 95A. The Fire Commission is a 19-member commission appointed by the Governor.
